This Privacy Policy explains how VinScanPro collects, uses, stores, shares, protects, and otherwise processes information when you access or use vinscanpro.com, including our website, dashboards, account features, checkout pages, VIN lookup tools, vehicle history reports, AI-powered analysis features, customer support channels, email communications, and any other products or services we make available from time to time. For purposes of this Privacy Policy, "VinScanPro," "Company," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Kaelric Dynamics LLC, doing business as VinScanPro, and its owners, officers, directors, managers, members, employees, contractors, vendors, licensors, data providers, affiliates, successors, and assigns. For purposes of this Privacy Policy, "Services" means the VinScanPro website, reports, subscriptions, trials, dashboards, tools, software, data displays, AI-powered features, support services, and related offerings. By accessing or using the Services, creating an account, submitting a VIN, purchasing a report, starting a trial, subscribing, contacting support, or otherwise interacting with VinScanPro, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, you should not access or use the Services.

01.Scope of This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect through the Services and through related interactions with you, including email, support communications, billing communications, account activity, report generation, and website usage. This Privacy Policy does not apply to websites, services, platforms, applications, databases, payment processors, advertising networks, data providers, or other third parties that we do not own or control. Those third parties may have their own privacy policies and practices.

  4. 4Vehicle history data returned by third-party providers;

  7. 7ZIP code, state, or location information used to tailor report context, market information, ownership-cost estimates, risk indicators, or related analysis;
  8. 8Notes, screenshots, dispute materials, or support requests you submit about a report.
A VIN by itself may not always identify an individual. However, when a VIN is associated with your account, payment, email address, support request, IP address, or other identifiers, we may treat it as information connected to your use of the Services.

05.Payment and Transaction Information

Payments may be processed by third-party payment processors. We may collect or receive limited payment-related information, including:

We do not intend to store full credit card numbers, full debit card numbers, CVV codes, or complete payment credentials on our own servers. Payment processors may collect and process payment information according to their own terms and privacy policies.

Some Services may include AI-powered, algorithmic, automated, or rules-based analysis features, including but not limited to vehicle risk summaries, ownership-cost analysis, Smart Buy Analysis, Decision Engine outputs, Deal Radar features, report explanations, recommendation-style content, and similar tools. To provide these features, we may process:

We may use AI-related processing to generate report summaries, explain report findings, evaluate risk indicators, personalize report context, improve product quality, detect errors, and enhance user experience. AI-powered outputs are informational and may be stored with your report or account history where necessary to provide, support, secure, or improve the Services.

09.Information from Third-Party Sources

We may receive information from third parties, including:

Third-party data availability and accuracy depend on the relevant source. We do not control all third-party data sources.

  10. 10To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, scraping, automated access, trial abuse, chargeback abuse, and security threats;

We may share information with: Vehicle Data Providers - To retrieve vehicle history data, decode VINs, generate reports, verify data availability, or provide report-related features. Payment Processors - To process payments, subscriptions, trials, renewals, refunds, failed payments, and chargebacks. Hosting and Infrastructure Providers - To host the website, databases, reports, dashboards, APIs, logs, and related systems. AI and Technology Providers - To generate AI-powered analysis, summaries, risk indicators, or other automated features. Analytics Providers - To understand usage, improve the Services, diagnose issues, and measure performance. Advertising and Marketing Partners - To measure marketing performance, deliver advertising, conduct retargeting, or evaluate campaigns, subject to applicable law and opt-out rights. Email and Communication Providers - To send account emails, verification codes, receipts, renewal notices, support messages, policy updates, marketing emails, and other communications. Fraud Prevention and Security Providers - To detect fraud, trial abuse, scraping, bots, payment abuse, unauthorized access, and security threats. Customer Support and Operations Tools - To manage support requests, refund requests, disputes, and account issues. 15.No Sale of Personal Information for Money

We do not sell your personal information in exchange for money. However, as explained above, certain privacy laws may define some advertising, retargeting, analytics, or cross-context behavioral advertising activities as a "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising," even where no money is exchanged. 16.Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain your account, process transactions, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, maintain security, improve the Services, support business operations, and maintain appropriate records. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the purpose for which it is used. For example, we may retain:

Even if you opt out of marketing emails, we may still send non-marketing communications, including account notices, transaction receipts, subscription notices, security alerts, report-related messages, customer-support responses, policy updates, and legal notices.

20.Privacy Rights for Certain U.S. Residents

Depending on your state of residence and applicable law, you may have certain privacy rights regarding your personal information. These rights may include the right to:

21.California Privacy Notice

This section applies to California residents where required by applicable California privacy laws. In the preceding 12 months, we may have collected the following categories of personal information: Identifiers - Name, email address, phone number, account ID, IP address, device identifiers, billing identifiers, and similar information. Customer Records Information - Billing information, transaction history, account information, and support information. Commercial Information - Purchases, subscriptions, trial status, report-generation history, refund history, cancellation status, and customer-support activity. Internet or Network Activity - Website usage, pages viewed, clicks, login activity, report views, device data, browser data, cookies, and analytics events. Geolocation Information - Approximate location based on IP address and ZIP code or location information you provide. Audio, Electronic, or Similar Information - Communications you send to us, including emails, support messages, attachments, screenshots, or other submitted materials. Inferences - Preferences, fraud-risk indicators, product usage patterns, report-related insights, and analysis generated from account activity or report activity. Sensitive Personal Information - We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information unless you voluntarily provide it or it is necessary for security, billing, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or support. We do not sell personal information for money. However, certain analytics, advertising, retargeting, or cross-context behavioral advertising activities may be considered "sale" or "sharing" under California law. California residents may request access, deletion, correction, portability, opt out of sale or sharing, and exercise other rights where applicable by contacting support@vinscanpro.com with the subject line California Privacy Request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

22.Do Not Sell or Share / Targeted Advertising Opt-Out

Where required by applicable law, you may opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, or certain profiling activities. To submit an opt-out request, contact us at support@vinscanpro.com with the subject line: Privacy Request - Do Not Sell or Share If we later provide a dedicated opt-out link, cookie-preference tool, or privacy-control mechanism, you may also use that method. Your opt-out may be browser-specific or device-specific where cookies or advertising technologies are involved. You may need to repeat your opt-out if you use a different browser, device, or account.

23.Global Privacy Control and Browser Signals

Some browsers, extensions, or devices may transmit privacy signals, including Global Privacy Control or similar opt-out preference signals. Where required by applicable law and where technically feasible, we will make reasonable efforts to recognize applicable opt-out preference signals. Because browser signals may vary and may not identify your account, we may treat such signals as applying to the browser or device through which the signal is sent, unless otherwise required by law.

24.Do Not Track

Some browsers offer "Do Not Track" signals. There is no uniform industry standard for responding to Do Not Track signals. At this time, we do not respond to Do Not Track signals unless required by applicable law.

25.Verification of Privacy Requests

For your protection, we may need to verify your identity before processing certain privacy requests. Verification may require matching information you provide with information we maintain, confirming access to your email account, requesting transaction details, or using other reasonable verification methods. We may deny or limit requests where we cannot verify your identity, where the request is fraudulent or abusive, where an exception applies, or where fulfilling the request would violate law, compromise security, interfere with another person's rights, or prevent us from fulfilling legal or contractual obligations.

26.Authorized Agents

Where required by applicable law, you may designate an authorized agent to submit a privacy request on your behalf. We may require proof of authorization, verification of your identity, and confirmation that the agent is authorized to act for you. We may deny requests from agents who cannot provide sufficient authorization.

27.International Users

VinScanPro is operated from the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be collected, processed, stored, and transferred in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Privacy laws in the United States may differ from those in your country. By using the Services or providing information to us, you acknowledge that your information may be processed in the United States. Where required by applicable law, we will use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

28.European, UK, and Other International Privacy Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another jurisdiction with similar privacy laws, you may have additional rights, subject to applicable limitations. These rights may include:

The Services are intended for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information. 30.Data Accuracy

You are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and current information when using the Services. We may not be able to provide account access, process payments, generate reports, respond to support requests, verify privacy requests, or provide accurate services if the information you provide is incomplete or inaccurate. Vehicle history information is obtained from third-party sources and may contain errors or omissions. Requests to correct official vehicle records may need to be directed to the relevant DMV, insurer, auction, lender, law-enforcement agency, repair facility, manufacturer, dealer, or other original data source.

31.Account Closure and Deletion Requests

You may request account closure or deletion by contacting support@vinscanpro.com. After account closure or deletion, we may retain certain information as necessary to:

  2. 2Provide records of reports already generated;
  3. 3Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations;
  4. 4Detect and prevent fraud, chargebacks, security threats, and abuse;
  5. 5Resolve disputes;
  6. 6Enforce our Terms of Use and Refund Policy;
  7. 7Maintain backup and archival records;
  8. 8Protect legal rights.
Deletion of an account does not automatically cancel outstanding obligations, completed transactions, payment disputes, chargeback investigations, or legal record retention requirements.

33.Business Transfers

If VinScanPro is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, investment, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, transfer of ownership, or similar business transaction, information may be transferred, disclosed, reviewed, or processed as part of that transaction. Any successor or acquiring entity may continue to process information according to this Privacy Policy unless a new privacy policy is provided.

34.De-Identified and Aggregated Information

We may create, use, disclose, or retain aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information for analytics, research, product development, marketing, benchmarking, security, reporting, business operations, and other lawful purposes. We will not attempt to re-identify de-identified information except as permitted by applicable law, such as for testing whether de-identification measures are effective.

36.Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we may update the "Last Updated" date, post the revised policy on the website, send an email, display an account notice, or provide other notice where appropriate. Your continued use of the Services after an updated Privacy Policy is posted means you acknowledge the updated Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the updated Privacy Policy, you should stop using the Services.
